Description
The Costa Viola owes its name to the unique reflections that the sea takes on at sunset, and along its paths, ancient stories and legends are hidden. This excursion, the zero stage of the Aspromare trail, combines nature and culture in a short but surprising route.
The trek leads from Cala Rovaglioso to Villa Repaci, two symbolic places of the coast of Palmi. Along the way, caves are encountered that tell of different eras: ancient dwellings carved into the rock and more recent shelters excavated in the sedimentary layers.
The most evocative stop is a hypogean cavity of extraordinary dimensions, capable of holding up to 1,000 people, which testifies to the millennial relationship between man and the coast.
An experience suitable for everyone, allowing you to discover the Costa Viola from a different perspective: between sea, history, and nature sculpted in stone.
