An alternative way to experience and explore the Aspromonte National Park - an UNESCO Global Geopark that rises rapidly and steeply in the center of the Mediterranean.
It is the southernmost mountain in Italy and perhaps the most extreme, not only in a geographical sense. Anyone who has never known it remains enchanted by its beauty; those who come here for the first time always return.
Orographic, inaccessible and hostile, with a geological origin more similar to the Alps than to the rest of the Apennines, it has a wild nature and still preserves visible signs of an important past.
Over the centuries it has been traveled by Greeks, Romans, wandering monks, fugitives, bandits, shepherds, flocks, and wild animals of all kinds. The "rivers" cut through the hills, determining the characteristic appearance of the slopes that change from coast to coast, from valley to valley.
Start experience
Meeting at GALLUZZO GROUP S.R.L. and departure towards the fantastic Zomaro area where we expect to arrive in 30 minutes. Visit of the area and photo stop (15 minutes).
Key moment
75-minute (1 hour and 15 minutes) guided hike in the Zomaro area, with a visit to the pond of the same name.
Return
Possibility of having lunch based on typical products (extra on request) and return to the starting point after about 30 minutes of travel.
