A snowshoe hike in the heart of Pollino National Park, along the stretch between Colle Impiso and Monte Pollino, in one of the massif’s broadest and quietest winter landscapes. A route where snow, beech forests, and open ridgelines create a slow and deeply immersive experience.
Start experience
Departure from Colle Impiso with an introduction to the route and adjustment to using snowshoes. The first stretch follows a regular trail that gradually introduces you to the Park’s snowy environment.
Key moment
Crossing wide beech forests and silent clearings up to the Gaudolino Pass, between Serra del Prete and Monte Pollino. Along the route, frozen springs and open views can be found that highlight the structure of the mountain landscape.
Return
Return along the same route at a steady pace, reading the landscape in reverse. A finale that restores the broad and silent dimension of wintery Pollino, before returning to the starting point.
