The Regional Nature Reserve of the Valli Cupe is a place of extraordinary beauty and biodiversity, known as the “natural monastery” of the Catanzaro Presila. Waterfalls, streams, and canyons carved by time make this territory a true natural spectacle.

The hike starts in the morning along a route of about 3 km, suitable for everyone. Equipped with safety helmets provided on-site, we will explore the Canyon of the Valli Cupe, an authentic natural wonder that reaches a depth of 130 meters and extends for 7 km: unique in Europe for its geomorphological characteristics.

During the journey, amid monumental trees and lush vegetation, we will encounter rare botanical species such as Woodwardia radicans, a bulbiferous fern found in very few places in Southern Italy. The fauna is no less surprising: birds of prey such as kestrel, buzzard, and harrier, as well as the Eurasian eagle-owl and the eyed-salamander, inhabit this unique ecosystem.

At the end of the hike, the included lunch will be served at the typical restaurant Contrada Carrozzino – L’originale, with two courses of choice, dessert, drinks, and a digestif, to complete the experience between nature and culinary tradition.
