What will you do
An immersion in the heart of the Regional Nature Reserve of the Valli Cupe, among canyons, waterfalls and the humid forests of the Catanzaro Presila. A short but intense journey into one of the richest ecosystems in Southern Italy, where geology, water and biodiversity meet spectacularly.
Start experience
Departure in the morning along a trail of about 3 km, easy and accessible. After the briefing and the handover of the safety helmet, you gradually enter the reserve’s humid landscape, among streams, dense vegetation and the first views of the canyon.
Key moment
Exploration of the Valle Cupe Canyon, a gorge up to 130 meters deep and among the most distinctive in Europe for its shape. Along the route, monumental trees, local wildlife, and rare botanical species such as Woodwardia radicans are observed, in a highly biodiverse environment.
Return
Exit from the canyon and end of the route with return to the starting point. Then, lunch at an affiliated restaurant with a typical Calabrian menu, to complete the experience amid nature and local gastronomic tradition.
