Description

The Giglietto Waterfall is one of the natural gems of the province of Crotone, hidden in a wild and unspoiled territory.

The trail begins near the municipality of Carfizzi and winds through the Mediterranean scrub that extends between Montagnella, Mount Suvero, and Mount Pescaldo. Here, nature shows itself in all its strength: rugged landscapes, lush vegetation, and silences broken only by the sound of flowing water.

The itinerary, approximately 9 km long with a positive elevation gain of over 500 meters, requires sure footing and good physical endurance. The final part involves crossing the riverbed, a factor that makes the trek accessible only during certain periods of the year (spring and early autumn, avoiding heavy rains).

After about five hours of walking, the effort will be rewarded by the spectacular view of the Giglietto Waterfall, which powerfully plunges between the rocks creating unique water games and reflections. A place of rare beauty, offering the thrill of an authentic connection with the wild nature of Calabria.
