Description

Monte Pescaldo is a green lung and a SIC (Site of Community Interest) located in the municipality of Umbriatico, a place where nature and biodiversity find their fullest expression.

The trail begins near the village of Perticaro and develops for about 6.5 km through woods and clearings, until reaching Cozzo del Pesco, a panoramic point that offers breathtaking views. On clearer days, the gaze can extend to the Ionian coast, the mountains of Sila, and even the Pollino massif.

This is a trekking route accessible to all, but it requires good health to tackle the uphill sections that lead to the viewpoint. Along the way, we will be surrounded by the rich local vegetation, including oaks, pines, and Mediterranean scrub, in a context that combines nature, relaxation, and discovery.

An ideal itinerary in all seasons, perfect for those who want to enjoy a day immersed in the unspoiled nature of Calabria.
