A hike in the eastern sector of Pollino National Park to reach Monte Sellaro (1,439 m), a panoramic summit overlooking the Timpe and opening onto the Ionian Sea. A route that combines mountain scenery, limestone geology, and one of the widest viewpoints in the region.

Start experience
Meeting at the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Armi and introduction to the route. The guide ΡΠ°ΡΡΠΊΠ°ts the historical and natural context of the site, a starting point nestled in the rock and linked to the Byzantine tradition.

Key moment
Ascent along the Monte Sellaro trail, crossing limestone landscapes, open ridgelines, and scenic stretches overlooking the Timpe. The route alternates physical exertion with landscape observation all the way to the summit.

Return
Descent along the same route to the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Armi. A gradual return that concludes the excursion with a complete view of the territory, from Pollino to the Ionian Sea.
