What will you do

A scenic trek in the heart of the Sila Grande, from Aprigliano to Colli Perilli, among Scots pine forests, granite boulders, and ever wider views over the Calabrian ridge. A route that alternates between woods and open landscape, with continuous changes of scenery leading to the great final viewpoints.

Start experience

Departure from Aprigliano and entrance onto the trails of the Sila Grande. The first stretches develop among Corsican pine forests and bright clearings, with an introduction to the area's natural and geological context.

Key moment

The trail alternates between smooth sections and steeper slopes, crossing granite boulders and scenic viewpoints such as the “Pietre di Pino/Tony” and the Cross of the Two Lakes. The progression toward Colli Perilli opens up increasingly wide views of the valley and the surrounding peaks.

Return

The route ends with wide panoramic views over Lake Arvo, Botte Donato, Monte Altare, Monte Cocuzzo and, on the clearest days, the Pollino ridge. A visual finale that sums up the entire traverse through forest, elevation, and landscape.
