A walking tour in Pentedattilo among a ghost village, legends, and landscapes sculpted by time, where the hand-shaped cliff and the trails of Aspromonte tell the story of an ancient, suspended Calabria.
Start experience
Entrance to the abandoned village of Pentedattilo, at the foot of Monte Calvario, with an introduction to the history and legend of the five-fingered rock. Walk through the lanes of the ghost town, immersed in a unique setting of rock and silence.
Key moment
Descent along country paths and crossing rural landscapes among terraced fields and waterways. The route continues toward the Rocche di Santa Lena, spectacular natural formations shaped by time. Along the way, panoramic views of the Aspromonte and the Ionian coast alternate, with narration about Grecanic culture and the traces left by humans in the area.
Return
Return along the trail, arriving back at the starting point in time for a packed lunch. Upon request, it is possible to book a restaurant in the area. An intense experience among nature, history, and the deeper Calabrian identity.
