Behind one of Calabria’s best-known food companies lies a supply chain built on processes, quality checks, and skills passed down over time. This visit takes you inside the Callipo plant to see up close how packaged tuna is made: from the arrival of the raw material to the final product, amid visible processing, quality standards, and more than 110 years of industrial history.

Start experience

The experience begins with welcoming the group and a brief introductory briefing dedicated to safety rules and the organization of the facility. Before entering the authorized departments, you will discover the company’s history and the principles that guide quality and traceability in production.

Key moment

Accompanied by the staff, you will go through the main production areas observing the different stages of tuna processing: selection of the raw material, preparation, filling the jars, and final checks. A route that shows up close the dialogue between artisanal care and organized industrial processes.

Return

The visit concludes with a space dedicated to questions and further insights, to better understand the production chain, quality procedures, and the value of a tradition that has continued for over a century.

  • The visit can be made from Monday to Friday starting from 09:30 and lasts about two hours.

  • The minimum number of participants is 10.

  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance

  • Timely adherence to schedules and staff instructions

  • Access allowed from 6/7 years; minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult

  • Closed shoes are mandatory; bulky bags, dangling jewelry, food/drinks are prohibited in the departments

  • Photography/video is prohibited in production areas unless otherwise authorized
