What will you do
In the heart of Pizzo, you will enter a craft workshop to discover up close the sweet symbol of Calabria, following the work of the master gelato makers who still preserve gestures and recipes handed down over time. It is not a demonstration, but a hands-on experience to truly understand what makes the Tartufo an icon recognized everywhere.

Start experience
The experience begins with an introduction to the history of the Tartufo, the raw materials used, and the techniques that define its structure and identity. An initial step useful for understanding the context before moving on to the practical phase.

Key moment
You will attend the preparation of the Tartufo and, guided step by step, you will make your own dessert: from the center to the coating, following the host’s techniques and instructions. A hands-on activity that allows you to delve into the details of the process and understand every stage.

The experience ends with a tasting of your gelato!

We gifted my in-laws a truffle workshop in Pizzo for their birthday to enjoy together as a family, with the idea of doing something different than usual... and it was an excellent choice!
We had a great time: the experience was special, curious, and engaging. The best part is that you really get to "get your hands dirty" because you create the artisanal truffle with your own hands. A complete experience at 100%.
And as a cherry on top, at the end, there is also the opportunity to eat the truffle you prepared, making everything even more special and satisfying.
Really a very beautiful experience, absolutely worth doing, especially if shared with loved ones.
