What will you do
An encounter with one of the last weavers in Calabria to enter the world of the traditional loom, where every thread tells an ancient gesture. In a slow and focused setting, you will learn to create a small handcrafted textile by following techniques passed down over time, amid rhythm, precision, and manual skill.
Start experience
Introduction to the loom and its fundamental elements: warp, weft, and thread preparation. The weaver will guide you through the first steps to understand the structure of the work and the rhythm of weaving.
Key moment
You will move on to the practical part, weaving the weft and warp step by step until the creation of your small handcrafted item. During the work, techniques, common mistakes, and the meaning of traditional motifs will be explained.
Return
The experience concludes with the completion of the fabric and the delivery of the finished издел, along with practical notes to continue experimenting independently, taking with you a concrete artisan know-how.
