What will you do
A nature-based falconry experience in the heart of Pollino National Park, at a center recognized for its scientific, non-show-oriented approach. An experience to get to know birds of prey up close, understand their behavior and their role in ecosystems, through an educational approach that respects their nature.
Start experience
Welcome and introduction to naturalistic falconry: conservation principles, the behavior of birds of prey, and the relationship between humans and the environment. The guides present the route and the specimens you will encounter during the activity.
Key moment
Workshops and guided encounters with different species of birds of prey — including the eagle owl, barn owl, and buzzard — to observe up close their movements, habits, and characteristics. The activity alternates scientific explanations with moments of direct observation in the field.
Return
The day concludes with the encounter with the golden eagle, the star of the final moment of the experience. A demonstration flight that closes the itinerary, together with a guided summary of the knowledge acquired about birds of prey and the ecosystems of Pollino.
