A walking itinerary to discover the former municipality of Nicastro, the historic heart of Lamezia Terme.

From the Piazza d’Armi, an ancient hinge of trade in the area, we will enter the commercial and religious fabric of the village, among palaces, shops, and memories of fairs.

The route leads to the complex of S. Domenico, where the young Tommaso Campanella took his first steps in study. Among cloisters and façades, stories of thought and power intertwine that have marked the city of the Sun.

We will continue towards the Civic and Diocesan Museums (external/internal visit depending on opening hours and ticketing), guardians of artifacts, paintings, and sacred silver that recount centuries of art and devotion.
The walk concludes in the neighborhood of S. Teodoro, which arose around the castle commissioned by Frederick II, where walls, glimpses, and perspectives open the view onto the valley and restore the medieval breath of the site.
