Description

Welcome to Sant’Agata del Bianco, a village where art is not displayed: it is lived.

Among the hills of Aspromonte, this small Calabrian town is known as "the Village of Artists", where alleys and squares become an open-air museum: murals, bas-reliefs, and sculptures tell stories of identity and collective memory. The strength of this place lies in its self-taught artists: spontaneous, popular works filled with energy.

The walking tour winds through the historic center with narrative stops dedicated to the works and their authors, until meeting one of the most representative local artists of the village, Baldissarro, on a journey of about 45 minutes where you will discover the secrets hidden behind the magic of matter taking shape in the hands. He will connect us with his creations - carved from stones and trunks - that seem to emerge from the earth to engage in dialogue with those who observe them.

An outdoor art workshop that gives back the most genuine Calabria, capable of creating beauty with its own hands. Because Sant'Agata del Bianco is not just a village to visit, but an exciting journey through art, memory, and passion, where creativity intertwines with the daily life of an extraordinary community.
