What will you do
A long route through the Fossiata Forest, in the heart of Sila, among beech woods, Corsican pine stands and damp ravines that tell the forest history of the plateau. A broad, gradual trail where nature and forest management can be read directly in the field.
Start experience
Departure from the Cupone pine forest area with a gradual entry into the Sila forest system. The first section leads through larch pines and open landscapes typical of the plateau.
Key moment
Crossing through the beech forest of Bosco del Corvo, the white firs, and Vallone Cecita. Along the route, different environments alternate, with the possibility of observing wildlife such as deer and roe deer. The guide’s explanations help interpret forest management and the area’s ecological balance.
Return
Ascent toward a final scenic viewpoint with an overall view of the Sila plateau. Completion of the route with an overview of the traversed landscape and return along the planned route.
