An itinerary in Aspromonte among rocky ridges, ancient forests and spectacular views over the La Verde Fiumara, with glimpses of the Ferraina waterfalls and Puntone Galera. A route that alternates scenic stretches and wilder environments, where the mountain reveals itself in its most authentic form.
Start experience
Departure from Rocca del Drago with an immediate view of the Aposcipo stream. The first section follows an uphill paved road, with wide views over Butramo and Monte Iofri that gradually introduce you to the mountain setting.
Key moment
Entrance onto a dirt track and crossing through woods of ancient oaks up to the Scalone del Ferraina. Here the most striking views open up: the Ferraina waterfalls, the ridge of Puntone Galera and, for those who wish, a short more exposed stretch up to the summit with a wooden cross.
Return
Descent along an ancient path carved into the rock, with natural springs along the route. Return to the starting point via a trail that closes the loop through woods, stone, and water.
